|L.F. "Micky" Halron founded Halron Oil Company, Inc. in 1927, when he began delivering kerosene and fuels to customers in the Green Bay area. It evolved from a home heating business into a diversified energy marketer that sold a variety of lubricants, chemicals, related services, propane, fuel oil, diesel fuel, and several types of gasoline.
As Halron grew in products and services, it also grew in locations. Beyond the home office, Halron owned and operated a 225,000 barrel (9.5 million gallons) pipeline terminal for fuel oil and diesel fuel in Green Bay. Halron expanded its reach to the western part of Wisconsin with a division in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and into Upper Michigan with a division in Escanaba, MI. Halron also operated a 20,000 gallon refueling barge and a tug in Cleveland, Ohio, which enabled us to be a reliable supplier of quality #2 fuel oil and lubricating oils for large lake cargo carriers and ocean-going vessels. Finally, Halron continued to serve its customers with eleven automated 24 hour Fleet Fuel sites located around Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula.
In April of 2005, Halron sold the fuels division and emerged as Halron Lubricants Inc. While this closed the door on a part of our history, it has enabled Halron to focus on providing superior products and services in the lubricant industry.
Halron operates two Lubricant distribution facilities, one in Green Bay, WI and the other in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. In addition, Halron sells, services and installs bulk lubrication equipment and vehicle hoists. We offer a variety of programs tailored to the individual needs of our customers. We represent many nationally known equipment manufacturers. Graco, Rotary, and Samson pumps, tanks, and related dispensing equipment are widely accepted as the industry's finest. Along with Lubricants and Equipment, Halron also provides a full range of Lubricant Recycling Services.
We must continue to take great pride in and stake our reputation on the ability to provide quality products at competitive prices. We realize that the essential component of our success is Halron's emphasis on personalized customer service. We know it is each customer, one at a time, which determines our future. To grow and prosper, we must help our customers grow and prosper!"
We must also be a resource to our customers in providing the right product for the right application in a timely manner and 100% of the time.
On December 1st, 2021 Halron Lubricants finalized the acquisition of Perkins Oil Company. This expanded the distribution reach by adding facilities in Madison, Milwaukee, and Sparta, WI.
