Purus Diesel Exhaust Fluid
Product Number:
PHD10003-GRAVITY
Package:
1 X 275 Gallon Gravity-Fed Tote
PURUS® Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a non-toxic, clear, chemical, urea solution for use as a reducing agent for SCR systems (Selective Catalytic Reduction) in diesel-powered vehicles. Toxic NOx exhaust emissions are reduced to the following components of air, nitrogen, water and carbon dioxide, thereby removing previous environmentally and physically damaging pollutants from further entering the atmosphere. This is delivered in a Gravity-Fed Tote.

Extended Description
PURUS® Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a non-toxic, clear, chemical, urea solution for use as a reducing agent for SCR systems (Selective Catalytic Reduction) in diesel-powered vehicles. Toxic NOx exhaust emissions are reduced to the following components of air, nitrogen, water and carbon dioxide, thereby removing previous environmentally and physically damaging pollutants from further entering the atmosphere. This is delivered in a Gravity-Fed Tote.Applications:
Purus Diesel Exhaust Fluid is used in diesel-powered vehicles equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems
- It is stored in a dedicated DEF tank on the vehicle and injected into the exhaust stream at a rate of approximately 2% of fuel consumption, precisely controlled by the vehicle’s onboard computer
- The DEF reacts with NOx emissions in the SCR system, converting them into harmless nitrogen, water, and carbon dioxide
- It is a 32.5% aqueous urea solution of high purity, compliant with DIN 70070 and ISO 22241 standards
- Purus DEF is suitable for use in a wide range of diesel engines, including those in trucks, buses, agricultural machinery, and construction equipment
- It is available in various packaging options such as jugs, drums, totes, and bulk delivery to meet different operational needs
Benefits:
Purus Diesel Exhaust Fluid is a non-toxic, clear urea solution designed for diesel vehicles with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems
- It helps reduce harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by converting them into nitrogen, water, and carbon dioxide, contributing to cleaner air
- It meets all EPA standards and is certified by the American Petroleum Institute (API), ensuring high product quality and safety
- Using Purus DEF supports compliance with stringent environmental regulations, helping avoid fines and penalties
- It can improve fuel efficiency by optimizing engine combustion and reducing emissions
- DEF also enhances engine performance by minimizing soot buildup, which can extend engine life and reduce maintenance costs
- Its 100% water solubility and low toxicity make it safe to handle and environmentally friendly
